Bhupinder Singh (6 February 1940 – 18 July 2022) was a distinguished Indian musician, celebrated for his contributions as a ghazal singer and Bollywood playback artist. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, he began his career with All India Radio and Doordarshan in Delhi. His deep, soulful voice graced numerous classics, including “Dil Dhoondta Hai” from the film Mausam (1975). Beyond singing, Bhupinder was an accomplished guitarist, contributing to iconic tracks like “Dum Maro Dum” from Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971). He passed away at the age of 82 in Mumbai.
