Composer Blair Mowat

Blair Mowat, born in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a BAFTA-nominated composer with over 15 years of experience in film, television, and theatre. He has composed more than 200 scores, collaborating with esteemed organizations like the English National Ballet and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

His notable works include the BBC’s Class, a Doctor Who spin-off series, ITV’s McDonald & Dodds, and Sky’s The Amazing Mr Blunden. In 2023, he scored Nolly, a drama by Russell T Davies starring Helena Bonham Carter, earning him a BAFTA TV Award nomination.

Classically trained from an early age, Blair holds a BA (Hons) in Music from Durham University and an MA in Composition for Film and Television from Bristol University.
