Madan Mohan Kohli (25 June 1924 – 14 July 1975), better known as Madan Mohan, was an Indian music director renowned for his work in Hindi cinema during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, he spent his early years in the Middle East before his family returned to Chakwal, Punjab. Madan Mohan is particularly remembered for his ghazal compositions, collaborating with legendary singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Talat Mahmood, and Mohammed Rafi. One of his popular songs is “Lag Ja Gale” from the 1964 film Woh Kaun Thi?.
