Ravi Shankar Sharma, popularly known as Ravi, was born on March 3, 1926, in Delhi, India. He was a renowned Indian music director who composed for numerous Hindi and Malayalam films. One of his notable songs is “Chaudhvin Ka Chand” from the 1960 film of the same name. After a successful stint in Hindi cinema, he took a break in the 1970s and later made a comeback in the Malayalam music scene under the name Bombay Ravi. Ravi passed away on March 7, 2012, in Mumbai.
