3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian Hindi coming-of-age comedy-drama movie co-written (with Abhijat Joshi) and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Omi Vaidya in the lead roles. the movie follows the friendship of three students at an Indian engineering college and is a satire about the social pressures under an Indian education system. The movie is narrated through parallel dramas, one in the present and the other ten years in the past. 3 Idiots movie songs are sung by Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Swanand Kirkire, Shreya Ghoshal, Shantanu Moitra, Suraj Jagan, Sharman Joshi, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Jaive Samsun. The film’s music is composed by Shantanu Moitra with lyrics penned by Swanand Kirkire. The movie won six Filmfare Awards including Best Film and three National Film Awards including Best Popular Film.
