Hindi Kai Po Che! (2013)

Kai Po Che! is a 2013 Indian buddy drama movie directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2008 novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life, with music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao, and Amit Sadh star as the three main protagonists while Amrita Puri plays the female lead. The movie title Kai Po Che! is originally a Gujarati phrase that means “I have cut” which refers to Makar Sankranti where one of the competitors uses his kite to cut off another competitors’ kite and yells “Kai Po Che!”. The music of the movie was composed by Amit Trivedi while the lyrics were penned by Swanand Kirkire. The background music has been composed by Hitesh Sonik. Kai Po Che! movie songs are sung by Amit Trivedi, Mohan Kannan, Shruti Pathak, Divya Kumar, and Mili Nair. The movie was released on 22 February 2013.
