Music Director Ali Azmat
Ali Azmat was born on April 20, 1970, in Pakistan. He gained popularity as the lead singer for the Sufi rock band Junoon, which is one of Pakistan’s most successful bands. Ali Azmat began his music career as a part of the band Jupiters during his college days, performing at local hotels in Lahore. His major breakthrough came when he joined the band Junoon and helped it achieve a legendary status with his dynamic stage presence. After Junoon disbanded in 2005, Ali Azmat continued his journey in music as a solo artist and later as a music director, gaining popularity in Pakistani cinema and music. Among his famous music directions are the song “Garaj Baras” for the movie Paap (2003), which became a hit with its robust rock appeal, and “Na Re Na” along with “Maula” from the movie Jism 2 (2012). Ali Azmat’s talents have earned him significant honour, including the Best Music Director Award at the Lux Style Awards for his work in Jism 2. Additionally, he won the Best Original Soundtrack by a Musician for “Garaj Baras” in Paap.
