Damodar Raao, born on 21st August 1977, is a well-known music director, singer, and producer in India, especially famous in Bhojpuri movies. He started his music career in 2000, Raao’s journey from his first break in the Hindi film “Shaitan Tantrik” to establishing himself in Mumbai in 2007 highlights his dedication and passion for music. His notable contributions include composing music for over 75 Bhojpuri films, showcasing his talent in mixing folk and classical Indian music. Some of his most loved songs are from movies like “Dil Ho Gail Qurban,” “Teri Meri Ashiqui,” “Karam Yug,” and “Majnu Motorwala,” with “Teri Meri Ashiqui” receiving critical honor. Raao’s excellence in music direction has been recognized with awards such as the Best Music Director of the Year 2012 by Darshnik Mumbai Press Media Award and the Mumbai Gaurav Award of the Year 2014 for “Majnu Motorwala.”
