Hard Kaur, whose real name is Taran Kaur Dhillon, was born on July 29, 1979, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. She emerged on the music scene with her unique style of mixing Western hip-hop with Indian fusion. Kaur’s career began in the UK. Hard Kaur’s significant contributions to music include being a pioneering female rapper in the Indian hip-hop scene. She debuted with the hit song “Ek Glassy” which was popular in the UK, and then made a striking entry into Bollywood with the song “Move Your Body” from the movie Johnny Gaddaar in 2007.
