He began his music career after studying in Chennai and initially worked with the legendary A.R. Rahman. Prashant is known for his work in ad jingles, web sonics, and short films, and he considers A.R. Rahman as his professional guide. His opportunity in film music came with the Malayalam film “Nayakan” in 2010, which marked his entry into feature films. Prashant has directed music for numerous films across various languages. Among his famous works are songs from “Nayakan,” “City of God,” and “Shaitan“. His music for “Amen” became particularly popular, contributing to the film’s success. He has won several awards, including the Asianet Film Award for Best Music Director and the TTK Prestige-Vanitha Film Award for his work in “Amen.”
