Music Director Ram Kadam

Ram Kadam (28 August 1918 – 19 February 1997) was a famous music director known for his work in Marathi cinema from the 1940s to the 1990s. He was especially famous for Lavani music, a traditional form of music from Maharashtra. He composed music for nearly 200 films, with one of his biggest hits being the movie “Pinjra” in 1972. Kadam started his career as an office boy at Prabhat Films and got his big break with the movie “Meeth Bhakar” in 1949. Some of his famous songs include tunes from “Pinjra,” “Sangte Aika” from 1959, and “Gavgund” from 1951.
