Music Director Sanam Puri

Sanam Puri was born on June 30, 1992, in Delhi, India. He began his musical career with the band ‘SQS,’ which later became famous as ‘Sanam.’ Sanam is not just a celebrated singer but also a notable music director in the Indian music industry. He gained significant attention and acclaim with his hit covers of old Bollywood songs, creatively reimagined for modern audiences. Firstly, his rendition of “Lag Jaa Gale,” originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar for the movie ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ (1964), has amassed millions of views on YouTube, reintroducing this classic to the youth of today. Another significant track is “Yeh Raat Bheegi Bheegi” with his band, which is a recreation of the song from the movie “Chori Chori” (1956), originally sung by Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar. Additionally, his original composition “Sanam Mennu” is a fan favorite. Sanam’s work was awarded, including two notable awards: the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Music Director for the song “Ishq Bulaava” from ‘Hasee Toh Phasee‘ (2014) and the Mirchi Music Award for the Critics’ Choice Upcoming Music Composer of the Year for the same track.
