Sanjoy Chowdhury is an esteemed Indian film score composer known for his poignant and evocative background scores in Hindi cinema. Born into the musical legacy of his father, Salil Chowdhury, Sanjoy first showcased his musical talents in the 1998 Malayalam film, “Ennu Swantham Janakikutty”. He rose to prominence with his work in the Aamir Khan starrer Sarfarosh in 1999. Among his notable works includes in films such as “Sarfarosh,” “Raasaleela,” “EMI” and “Golmaal 3“. Another remarkable score was for the critically awarded A Wednesday! in 2008, where his music subtly boosted the film’s tense storyline. His work in Baby (2015) also received honour and a nomination at the 8th Mirchi Music Awards for Best Background Score, underscoring his ability to add a layer of auditory intensity to thrillers.
