Snehal Bhatkar, born Vasudev Gangaram Bhatkar on 17 July 1919, was a well-known music composer in Hindi and Marathi films. His career started with the film Neel Kamal in 1947. He’s known for his work along with lyricist Kidar Nath Sharma, creating memorable songs like “Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein” from Hamari Yaad Aayegi. Bhatkar’s work was honoured with some of the awards like the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar Award by the Government of Maharashtra in 2004. Among his famous songs is “Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein” from Hamari Yaad Aayegi. Other notable works include songs from movies like Neel Kamal (1947), Pehla Kadam (1981), Nand Kishore (1951), Daku (1955) and Suhag Raat (1948).
