Upendra Kumar was a famous music director born on July 18, 1941, in Madras, India. He worked extensively in the Kannada and Odia film industries from 1966 until his death on January 24, 2002. Known for his work together with actor Rajkumar and his family, Kumar directed music for over 210 films, including works in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tulu. Some of Kumar’s most famous songs include “Jokae” from “K.G.F: Chapter 1,” “Indu Aananda” from “Kaamana Billu,” and “Manavanaagi Huttidamele” from “Jeevana Chaitra.” Kumar was awarded with Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Music Director, for his work in “Nanjundi Kalyana,” “Hrudaya Haadithu,” and “Jeevana Chaitra.”
