Aalap Raju, born on June 6, 1979, in Chennai, India, is a celebrated playback singer and bass guitarist. He soared to fame with his hit song “Enamo Aedho” from the movie “Ko,” which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2011. Aalap has worked with renowned music directors such as Harris Jayaraj, G.V Prakash, and D.Imman, among others. His notable songs include “Vaaya Moodi Summa Iru Da” from “Mugamoodi,” “Engeyum Kadhal” from “Engeyum Kadhal,” and “Nenjodu Cherthu” from “Yuvvh.” In addition to his singing career, Aalap is a skilled bass guitarist, having played in Bollywood movies like “Raazi” in the song “Dilbaro” and performed over 1000 live gigs.
