Anandji Virji Shah, born on March 2, 1933, in Kutch, Gujarat, is a celebrated Indian music director who, alongside his brother Kalyanji Virji Shah, formed the iconic duo Kalyanji–Anandji. This partnership blossomed into one of Bollywood’s most revered musical alliances, crafting soundtracks that have become timeless. The duo’s career highlights include winning the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for their work in “Kora Kagaz” in 1975 and receiving the prestigious Padma Shri in 1992 for their contributions to Indian music. Some of the most famous songs are Aap Ne Yun Hi Dillagi Ki, Tunak Tun Tun Bole Jiyaa, Teri Zulfe Pareshan, and Sabar Ka Phal.
