She begin on her musical journey at the tender age of 7, making her playback debut in the Hindi film ‘Minoo.’ Her notable works include popular songs like ‘Teri galiyon mein hum aaye,’ a duet with Manna Dey, and ‘O Kali Re Kali Re.’ Trained in both Indian and Western Classical music, Antara has contributed to children’s music in Bengali, with hits like ‘Bulbul Pakhi Moyena Tiye’ and ‘O Ayere Chhute Aaye,’ all composed by her legendary father, Salil Chowdhury.
