Baby Tabassum, born on July 9, 1944, in Mumbai, India, was a renowned Indian actress, talk show host, and singer known for her work in Hindi cinema. She began her career as a child artist in the late 1940s and gained fame for her role in the film “Deedar” (1951). Over the years, she became a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, hosting the popular television talk show “Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan” from 1972 to 1993, where she interviewed numerous Bollywood celebrities. Although primarily known for her acting and television career, Tabassum also contributed to the music industry with her voice. Later in her career, she lent child-chorus vocals to the lullaby track “Cham Cham Chanda Ki” from the movie Parivaar (1987), working with legendary music directors Laxmikant–Pyarelal and co-singers like Kavita Krishnamurthy and Anupama Deshpande. Her songs reflect the charm and nostalgia of classic Bollywood. She has worked with notable music directors and lyricists, creating memorable tracks that continue to resonate with audiences.
