Gayatri Asokan is a celebrated playback singer primarily in Malayalam cinema, beginning her career with “Deena Dayalo Rama” and winning the Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer in 2003 for “Enthe Nee Kanna”. Trained in both Carnatic and Hindustani music, she has also explored Bhajans and released albums with Art of Living and Ilayaraja. Since 2017, Asokan has focused on Ghazals, moving away from film music​.
