Gurdas Maan, who was born on January 4, 1957, in Giddarbaha, Punjab, is a highly respected figure in the Punjabi music industry. He is famous for his ability to mix traditional Punjabi music styles with modern themes. His music career skyrocketed with the release of “Dil Da Mamla Hai” in 1980. Since then, he has produced over 34 albums and penned more than 305 songs. Some of his most famous songs include “Mamla Gadbad Hai” and “Chhalla,” which featured in the movie ‘Laung Da Lishkara’. He has been honored with numerous awards, such as the National Award for Best Male Playback Singer for his work in “Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris” and the award for “Best International Album” at the UK Asian Music Awards for “Boot Polishan”.
