Hemlata, born on 16 August 1954 in Hyderabad, is a renowned Indian playback singer with a career spanning from 1968 to the present. Known for her classically trained voice, she also famous for “Fagun Bhar Baba Laage Devarva”, “Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani”, “Sawan Aayo Re Bin Mausam” Hemlata gained fame in the late 1900s, particularly for the song “Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se.” She also won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for the song “Tu Jo Mere Sur Mein” from the movie “Chitchor,” a duet with K.J. Yesudas. Other notable songs include “Sun Ke Teri Pukar” from “Fakira” and “Megha O Re Megha” from “Sunayana“.
