Jay Sean, born Kamaljit Singh Jhooti on March 26, 1981, in London, England, is a prominent British singer-songwriter renowned for his R&B and pop music fusion. Venturing into the music scene in 2003, Jay Sean’s debut album “Me Against Myself” garnered substantial honour, however, it was his 2008 single “Ride It” from the album “My Own Way” that has grown his culture. His famous songs include “Surma Surma,” “Freak,” and “Dil Mera.” His track “Do You Remember” and “2012 (It Ain’t the End),” further gave him popularity and growth in career. He clinched the UK Asian Music Award for “Best Album” for “My Own Way” in 2008 and secured the BMI Pop Music Awards for “Songwriter of the Year” in 2010, primarily due to the international success of “Down.”
