Manmohan Waris, born on August 3, 1967, in Punjab, India, is a celebrated Punjabi folk/pop singer. Launching his career in 1993 with the album “Gairan Naal Peenghan Jhootdeye”, he’s since been a prominent figure in Punjabi music, known for his profound folk renditions. Waris, alongside his brothers, founded Plasma Records, releasing much of his music on this label. He gained recognition for songs like “Mittran Ne Bhangra Pauna” and was awarded Best Playback Singer at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards in 2016 for “Parne Nu” from the film “Faraar”​.
