Singer Parvez Kapadia
Parvez Kapadia was an early Indian playback singer active during the late 1940s, recognized for his contributions to post-independence Hindi cinema. He began his recording career in the late 1940s, lending his voice to vintage soundtracks. Parvez Kapadia famously performed songs for the 1948 Bollywood film Hum Bhi Insaan Hain, working under music directors Hariprasanna Das (H.P. Das) and Manna Dey. Some of his popular songs include “Piya Chale Aaye,” “Koi Mujhse Bhi To Bole,” and “Ham To Motor Kharid Ke Le Aayenge“. He worked alongside co-singers such as Shankar Dasgupta, and his tracks featured lyrics by the celebrated lyricist Gopal Singh Nepali.
