Shehzad Roy, born on 16 February 1977 in Karachi, Pakistan, is a renowned Pakistani singer-songwriter, activist, and humanitarian whose musical journey began in 1995 with his debut album “Zindagi“. Over the years, Roy has released multiple albums and several hit songs including “Saali,” “Teri Soorat,” and “Kangna”. His most notable work is the 2008 socio-political album “Qismat Apney Haath Mein”, which includes the hit songs “Laga Reh,” “Teri Soorat” and “Jaadu Hai“. He was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civil honors, for his musical contributions and his efforts through his Zindagi Trust to improve education standards in Pakistan. Additionally, his song “Laga Reh” from the album “Qismat Apney Haath Mein” won accolades at the Lux Style Awards for Best Music Album and Best Music Video​.
