Shruti Sadolikar, born on November 9, 1951, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is a renowned Indian classical vocalist known for her mastery in the Khayal form of Hindustani classical music. She hails from a family deeply rooted in musical tradition, being the daughter of the esteemed vocalist Wamanrao Sadolikar. Shruti began her musical journey under the guidance of her father and later trained under the legendary Ustad Gulubhai Jasdanwala of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. Throughout her illustrious career, she has performed at prestigious music festivals across India and abroad, captivating audiences with her soulful renditions. Some of her popular performances include renditions of ragas such as Marwa, Bihag, and Yaman. Shruti has collaborated with notable musicians and has been a part of various music albums. She also lent her voice to Bollywood music, “Laaga Re Jal Laaga” from Paheli movie.
