Her debut film, “Love Story” (1981), gave her fame, marking a significant milestone in her acting career. Vijayta, a member of a musical family, shifted her focus towards playback singing after a brief acting stint, contributing her voice to films like “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” (1992), “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa” (1993), and “Dev” (2004). She has also explored pop music, with her debut album “Propose – Pyaar ka Izhaar” being launched by Madhuri Dixit in 2007.
