Utpal Biswas is an Indian music composer known for his contributions to Bollywood films. He is the son of renowned composer Anil Biswas.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Utpal collaborated with violinist Amar Haldipur under the name “Amar-Utpal,” composing music for movies like Shahenshah (1988) and Aaja Meri Jaan (1993).
He also composed the music for Hariharan’s ghazal album Halka Nasha (1996), which includes the popular title track.
