Husain and is his ode to womanhood and his muse of the time, Madhuri Dixit, who features as the lead in the movie with Shahrukh Khan and Naseeruddin Shah. The music was composed by Bhupen Hazarika. Lyrics are written by Maya Govind, Kalidas, M. F. Hussain, and Javed Akhtar. The movie songs are sung by Bhupen Hazarika, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Suman Devgan, M. F. Hussain, Udit Narayan, and Shankar Mahadevan.
