Om Shanti Om, released on November 9, 2007, is a vibrant Bollywood musical drama directed by Farah Khan. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Om, a junior film artist in the 1970s who is in love with film superstar Shanti Priya, played by Deepika Padukone in her debut role. After a tragic event, Om is reincarnated and sets out to avenge Shanti Priya’s death. The movie also features Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and a host of Bollywood cameos.

The music of Om Shanti Om was composed by the dynamic duo Vishal–Shekhar, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.
