Rang De Basanti is a 2006 Indian Hindi drama movie written, produced and directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, and co-written by Rensil D’Silva. The literal meaning of the title is “Paint me with the colors of spring”. It featured an ensemble cast comprising Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni, and British actress Alice Patten in the lead roles. The movie songs are sung by Harshdeep Kaur, Daler Mehndi, K. S. Chithra, Naresh Iyer, Mohammed Aslam, Madhushree, A. R. Rahman, Nacim, Mohit Chauhan, Blaaze, Lata Mangeshkar, and Aamir Khan.
