Abhishek Ray is a talented music director from Kolkata, West Bengal, who has made a significant mark in Bollywood since 2002. He’s not only a music director but also a singer and composer, and he strongly supports wildlife conservation. He started making music while still in college and gained popularity working together with the famous poet Gulzar, creating memorable albums like “Udaas Paani,” “Raat Chand Aur Main,” and “Kab Aate Ho.” Abhishek Ray has directed music for popular movies like “Paan Singh Tomar,” “Welcome Back,” and “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster.” Three of his most famous songs are “Chini Bhini” and “Chand Taare” from the movie “I Am Kalam,” and “Yeh Saali Zindagi” from the movie with the same name. He received the Mirchi Music Award in 2017 for “Aye Jahaan Aasmaan,” a song celebrated for its orchestration and vocals by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. Additionally, he became popular for his documentary music, winning the 2006 Indian Telly Award for Best Music for “The Maharaja Of Jodhpur: The Legacy Lives On”​.
