Avinash Vyas was a famous music director from Gujarat, India. He was born on July 21, 1912, and made music for over 190 movies. He started his music career in 1940 and became very popular. He made more than 10,000 songs. Vyas started his journey in the music industry with HMV in 1940 and gained recognition with his debut in the Gujarati film “Mahasati Ansuya” in 1943. He worked with many famous singers of his time, including Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, and Asha Bhosle. Vyas received numerous honors for his work, including the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1970 and 25 Gujarat State Film awards for the best lyricist and music. He was awarded with Gaurav Puraskar by Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Nrutya Academy. Some of his most famous songs include “Mehndi te Vavi Malve” from “Mendi Rang Lagyo,” “Ek patan sher ni naar padmani” from “Lakho Fulani,” and “Hoon Amdavad no rikshawalo” from “Maa Baap.”
