Chandan Dass, born on 12 March 1956, is a well-known Indian ghazal singer who began his musical journey at the tender age of eight. His career took off in 1982 when Talat Aziz introduced him to Music India Ltd, leading to the release of his first album which was successful. Chandan has composed music for all his albums and even given his voice to many TV serials, films, and also in Doordarshan. Among his famous works are songs like “Woh Chandan Ka Badan” from his album, “Khushboo Ki Tarah Aaya” from “Kitne Hi Rang“, and “Wo Dil Hi Kya Tere Milne Ki Jo Dua Na Kare” from “Deewangi“. His dedication and contributions to music have been acknowledged with numerous awards, including the Best New Ghazal Singer of 1983 and two prestigious SUMU awards in 1993 for his album “Deewangi” ​and “Ghalib Award” for his album “Deewangi”. Notably, Chandan Dass was awarded the prestigious “Ghalib Award” for his album “Deewangi” and received the honor for his soul-stirring compositions in “Na Jee Bhar Ke Dekha.”
