Madan Mohan, born on 25 June 1924-14 July 1975, was the most popular music director in the Hindi film industry, known for his soulful compositions, especially ghazals. Starting his career in 1950, he became famous for his collaborations with singers like Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi. His music was often featured in movies from the 1950s to the 1970s, marking a golden era of Hindi film music. Notably, he won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the movie “Dastak” in 1971. Among his famous songs are “Lag Ja Gale” and “Naina Barse Rim Jhim” from “Woh Kaun Thi“, and “Kar Chale Hum Fida” from “Haqeeqat“.
