Music Director Manhar Udhas

Manhar Udhas was born on May 13, 1943, in Savarkundla, Gujarat, India. He moved to Mumbai in the late 1960s to pursue a career in music, inspired by his love for singing. Manhar began his career in playback singing in Bollywood with the song “Aap se humko bichchade huye” in the 1969 movie “Vishwas,” which became very popular. Over the years, he has sung in over 300 films and has released more than 30 albums. His voice has been featured in movies across multiple languages including Hindi, Gujarati, and Bengali. Some of the most famous songs sung by Manhar Udhas are “Tu Is Tarah Se” from the movie “Aap To Aise Na The” (1980), “Hum Tumhe Chahte Hai Aise” from “Qurbani” (1980), and “Tu Kal Chala Jayega” from “Naam” (1986). These songs have left a lasting impact on the world of Bollywood music. Manhar Udhas has been recognized with several awards for his contributions to music, including the Best Male Playback Singer award for “Tu Is Tarah Se” at the Filmfare Awards and another Filmfare Award for “Hum Tumhe Chahte Hai Aise”.
