Raamlaxman, originally named Vijay Patil, was born on September 16, 1942, in Nagpur, India. He started his career as a solo composer with the name “Raamlaxman”. His breakthrough came with the film “Maine Pyar Kiya” in 1989, which was a huge hit and established him as a well-known music director in the Indian film industry. Raamlaxman has directed music for some very famous songs that are cherished by audiences to this day. Some of these include “Dil Deewana” from “Maine Pyar Kiya,” “Maye Ni Maye” from “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!” and “Akeli Na Bazaar Jaya Karo” from “Major Saab.” He won the Filmfare Best Music Director Award for “Maine Pyar Kiya” and was also praised for his work in “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!” which is one of the highest-earning Bollywood films ever.
