Vijay Patil, known as Raamlaxman (16 September 1942 – 22 May 2021) became a famous music director in India. He started with his orchestra and got his big chance in movies for composing music. Raamlaxman is best known for his work in Hindi films, especially with Rajshri Productions. His music in movies like “Maine Pyar Kiya,” “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” and “Hum Saath Saath Hain” made him very popular. He worked in the music industry from 1975 until 2021, creating music for Hindi, Marathi, and Bhojpuri films. His most famous songs include “Dil Deewana” from “Maine Pyar Kiya,” “Didi Tera Devar Deewana” from “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” and “Maiyya Yashoda” from “Hum Saath Saath Hain.” Raamlaxman won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for “Maine Pyar Kiya” and was known for working together with singers like S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and Lata Mangeshkar.
