Music Director Rasheed Attre
Rasheed Attre was a famous music director born on February 15, 1919, in Amritsar, British India. He learned music from a young age and began his career in the early 1940s. After moving to Pakistan in 1948, he continued to make music for films, using popular singers like Zubaida Khanum and Naseem Begum. He directed music for many famous songs and movies until he passed away in 1967. Some of his well-known songs include “Bar Bar Barsein Moray Nain, Moray Nain” from the movie Waadah (1957), “Jab Teray Shehar Sey Guzarta Huun” also from Waadah, and “Aaey mausam rangeelay suhanay” from Saat Lakh (1957). He won the Nigar Award for Best Music for the films Saat Lakh in 1957, Neend in 1959, and Shaheed in 1962.
