S. P. Venkatesh, also known as Sangeetharajan, was born on March 5, 1955. He’s known for his work mainly in Malayalam films during the late ’80s and ’90s. Before becoming a music director, he played instruments like the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. His career growth came with the film “Rajavinte Makan” in 1986, which became a hit and established him as a music director in the industry. He’s famous for his film scores in movies like “Indrajaalam,” “Kilukkam,” and “Minnaram.” Venkatesh won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director in 1993 for his work in “Paithrukam.” He also received the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for the same movie. Some of his other famous songs come from movies like “Sphadikam,” “Hitler,” “Adutha Chodyam,” and “Kizhakkan Pathrose.”
