Shoaib Mansoor (born 4 February 1951), a significant figure from Karachi in the entertainment world, began his journey in 1976 with the television show “Jharnay”. He gained popularity by composing the song “Dil Dil Pakistan” in 1987, which introduced Vital Signs to the mainstream. He’s directed remarkable TV shows like “Ankahi”, “Fifty Fifty”, and “Alpha Bravo Charlie”. Transitioning to films, he made a strong entry with “Khuda Kay Liye” in 2007 and continued his success with “Bol” in 2011 and “Verna” in 2017. His directed movies have received critical honour and awards, notably “Khuda Kay Liye” winning the Silver Pyramid Award at the Cairo International Film Festival in 2007, and “Bol” being recognized as the Best Hindi Film at the IRDS Film Awards in 2011 for highlighting societal issues.
