Music Director Shravan Rathod
Shravan Rathod, born on November 13, 1954, was one part of the iconic music director duo Nadeem-Shravan, along with Nadeem Akhtar Saifi. Their music career took off in the late 20th century, making them one of the most successful Bollywood music directors from the 1990s to the early 2000s. Despite starting their journey in 1973 with a Bhojpuri movie, they faced struggles in gaining significant work until their big break with the film “Aashiqui” in 1990. Their music, often inspired by ghazal and classical music, marked a revival of filmi-ghazal genre in Bollywood. Some of their most famous songs that still resonate with many include “Dheere Dheere Se” from “Aashiqui,” “Nazar Ke Saamne” from the same movie, and “Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein” from “Dhadkan.” These songs showcase their talent for mixing traditional Indian music with contemporary sounds, creating timeless hits. In terms of awards, the duo has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for their work in “Aashiqui” and again in “Saajan.”
