Sulaiman Merchant, born on December 21, 1970, in Mumbai, India, forms one half of the acclaimed music director duo Salim-Sulaiman. Growing up in a musical family, Sulaiman honed his skills on the tabla under the guidance of legends like Taufiq Qureshi and Ustad Zakir Hussain. Their journey in film music gained popularity with their work on the movie “Bhoot,” after which they went on to score for films like “Neal ‘n’ Nikki,” “Chak De! India,” and “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi“.
