Music Director Suresh Wadkar

Suresh Wadkar, born on August 7, 1955, in Maharashtra, is a well-known playback singer in the Indian music industry. He began his music career after winning the Sur-Singar competition in 1976, which opened the door to playback singing for him. His first significant song was “Seene Mein Jalan” for the film Gaman in 1978, and he went on to sing in various languages, including Hindi, Marathi, and even Tamil. Wadkar has worked with many famous music directors and has sung for numerous Bollywood films, showcasing his versatile singing talent. Some of his most famous songs include “Tum Se Milke” from Parinda (1989), “Aye Zindagi Gale Laga Le” from Sadma (1983), and he sang his first Tamil song in the film Kanden Kadhalai (2009). Over the years, he has received numerous awards, including the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song “Hey Bhaskara Kshitijavari Ya” from Mee Sindhutai Sapkal (2010) and the prestigious Padma Shri in 2020 for his contribution to the field of arts​.
