Akhil Pasreja, better known by his stage name Akhil, is a distinguished Indian playback singer, songwriter, and music performer born on October 2, 1990, in Nurmahal, Jalandhar, Punjab. His musical journey began with an early interest in music inspired by iconic Punjabi artists, which led him to pursue a formal education in music after completing his B.Sc. Akhil gained significant attention with his breakthrough single “Khaab” in 2016, which became a massive hit and solidified his place in the Punjabi music industry. Following this, he made a successful entry into Bollywood with the song “Duniyaa” from the film “Luka Chuppi” in 2019, which was a Hindi remake of his own hit song “Khaab”. Notably, he won the TIIFA Award for the song “Khaab” and was recognized as the “Best Breakthrough Act” at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards in 2017.
