Bohemia, born Roger David on October 15, 1979, is renowned as a pioneer in the Desi hip-hop genre, bringing Punjabi rap to the forefront of the music scene. His career took off in the early 2000s when he moved to Oakland, collaborating with producer Sha One to create his debut album “Vich Pardesan De”. Achieving significant milestones, his album “Pesa Nasha Pyar” became the first Punjabi rap album released by a major label, and his work “Da Rap Star” received multiple nominations at prestigious music awards. Bohemia’s contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Desi hip-hop landscape​. Bohemia’s first major award win was in 2013 for his album “Thousand Thoughts,” which received the Best Non-Resident Punjabi Album award at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards.
