His career took a significant leap in 1982, with the release of his first album, marking the beginning of a series of successful albums and contributions to TV serials and films. Among his famous works are “Deewangee,” noted for its innovation, and songs like “Wo Dil Hi Kya Tere Milne Ki Jo Dua Na Kare” from the same album. Dass’s excellence in music has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Best New Ghazal Singer of 1983 and the prestigious SUMU awards in 1993 for his album “Deewangi”.
