Chinnaponnu, a celebrated folk and playback singer from Tamil Nadu, Began on her musical journey from a tender age, performing at temple festivals and churches from the age of 13. Her career took a significant turn in 2004 when she lent her voice to the Tamil film industry as a playback singer with the song “Annanoda Paatu” in “Chandramukhi”. Her notable works include the hits “Nakku Mukka” from “Kadhalil Vizhunthen”, which earned her the Kannadasan Award for Best Folk Singer, and “Theeka Theeka” from “Suriyan Satta Kalloori”, for which she received the Edition Award 2010. She also sang a “Maari Gethu” song from “Maari 2”  Chinnaponnu’s influence extends beyond playback singing as she was also a key performer at the Chennai Sangamam festival and featured in MTV’s Coke Studio series (Season 2011).
