Darshana KT, born on 6 November 1984 in Chennai, India, is an honored Tamil playback singer and music composer. Her musical journey began at a young age, performing as a child artist and eventually gaining her first major break with the film “Shivaji – The Boss,” with music composed by A. R. Rahman. Darshana KT collaborated with Manikanth Kadrigopalnath, the renowned son of saxophone legend Kadri Gopalnath, on various albums. She also featured in fusion albums by Veena Maestro Rajesh Vaidya. Darshana’s talent has been recognized with nominations and awards, including a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Tamil for the song “Maduraikku Pogatheydi” from the film “Azhagiya Thamizh Magan.” Some of her famous notable work includes “Tholai Vaanam” from Sila Nodigalil, “Vaan Thirakinra pozhuthil” and “Unnai Ninaithen”.
